HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Half Marathon | 19 injured or unwell, 3 hospitalized
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Half Marathon was held this morning (Jan. 5). The Hong Kong Association of Athletics Affiliates said that as of 11:00 am, 19 runners reported injuries or discomfort, with three of them requiring hospitalization.
About 8,000 runners from all over the world took part in the race, of whom about 1,600 were non-local runners. The men's and women's titles were won by last year's Berlin Marathon champions Milkesa Mengesha Tolosa and Nawowuna Grace Loibach from Kenya.
