Kai Tak Sports Park Director (Strategic Planning), Tang King-shing highlighted several innovative design features of the main stadium. The center of the pitch features natural grass, surrounded by artificial turf, allowing for flexibility based on different events. The south stand has sacrificed some seating to offer views of the Hong Kong Island seascape, maintaining a local character. The main stadium also includes team locker rooms and physiotherapy rooms. Its retractable roof, approximately 150 meters long, is made from noise-reducing materials to minimize disruption to nearby residents.
