Remains of 42 Jeju Air crash victims handed over to their families, S. Korean media says
According to South Korean media reports, as of the morning of Jan. 3, a genetic analysis of 133 victims in Jeju Air crash has been completed, with the remains of 42 victims already handed over to their families.
On Dec. 31, local time, South Koreans gathered at a memorial set up in Seoul to lay flowers and mourn the victims of the tragic plane crash. On that day, a memorial was established in front of the Seoul City Hall for the victims of the crashed aircraft.
Reports indicate that relevant authorities will consult with the victims' families in the afternoon of Jan. 3 regarding the procedures for the transfer of remains. Additionally, starting from Jan. 6, these authorities plan to provide basic care, child support, and childcare services for the families of the victims who need assistance.
