South Korea's transport ministry announced the retrieval of the flight recorders of the passenger aircraft that crashed earlier in the day.

The Jeju Air flight 7C2216, which took off from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea at approximately 9:07 a.m. local time on Dec. 29. There were a total of 181 people on board, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members. 124 people have been reported dead so far.
