MIRROR to perform at New Year's Eve fireworks countdown
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will organize Hong Kong's largest New Year's Eve countdown event on the evening of Dec. 31, with a fireworks display in the night sky of Victoria Harbour, featuring four major fireworks effects, to celebrate the arrival of the year 2025 with Hong Kong residents and tourists from all over the world.
Before and after the fireworks display, members of local singer groups MIRROR and COLLAR, together with the popular Canadian singer duo Crash Adams, who have more than 10 million subscribers to their YouTube channel, will gather at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre observation deck and take turns to sing with the public and visitors to count down to 2025.
In addition to the fireworks display, a total of four "wishing meteors" will be released every 15 minutes starting at 11 pm on New Year's Eve from the rooftops of the three landmark buildings on Hong Kong Island, namely Cheung Kong Center, Harbour Centre and Harcourt House, symbolizing sweetness, health, happiness and wealth. A giant countdown clock will be set up on the wall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for everyone to count down at midnight.
