Citybus launches overnight bus services to Shenzhen Bay Port on New Year's Eve
As Hong Kong prepares to ring in the New Year, major boundary crossings, including Shenzhen Bay, Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HKZMB) HK Port, will operate overnight on Dec. 31. Lo Wu Control Point will extend its hours until 2 a.m. on New Year's Day. To accommodate cross-boundary travelers, Citybus announced today (Dec. 27) the launch of overnight bus services to key land ports, including a newly introduced route, NB3, connecting Tuen Mun to Shenzhen Bay Port.
The NB3 overnight service will operate from late night on Dec. 31 through the morning of Jan. 1, ensuring seamless bus connectivity for travelers crossing at Shenzhen Bay Port. The route will follow directly after the regular daytime services, creating a continuous transportation option for cross-boundary commuters. During peak post-countdown hours, NB3 and its short-distance special routes will run every 20 minutes, with additional services provided based on passenger demand.
For travelers celebrating in Kowloon or on HK Island, Citybus offers convenient connections to NB3. Passengers can board Route N50 from Yau Ma Tei, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Mong Kok or Route N969 from Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, and Central to reach Tuen Mun's Hung Kiu, where they can transfer to NB3 for a direct ride to Shenzhen Bay Port.
In addition to NB3, special Route 976S will connect HK Island to Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange. Citybus will also enhance services on routes linking the HKZMB HK Port to meet passenger demand.
