The Hong Kong government has announced an updated list of eligible universities under its Top Talent Pass Scheme, effective Jan. 1, 2025. The revised list now includes 199 universities and institutions, with five new additions: the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in the mainland, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, and the University of Massachusetts in the US.
With the inclusion of UCAS, the number of mainland universities on the list has increased to 23.
At the same time, four universities have been removed from the list: the University of Paris-Sud (Paris 11), École Normale Supérieure - Paris, Radboud University in the Netherlands, and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Graduates from bachelor's programs at these institutions will no longer qualify for Category B and C applications under the scheme starting Jan. 1, 2025.
