Shenzhen Bay Port metro line nears completion: Line 13 first phase transfers 'three rights'
The first phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 13 has successfully completed the handover of three key operational rights: territorial management, dispatch control, and equipment usage. This milestone lays a solid foundation for the line's upcoming trial operations.
Line 13 serves as a critical north-south corridor in Shenzhen's central-western region, connecting Hong Kong in the south with Dongguan in the north. The line links major districts such as Nanshan, Bao'an, and Guangming. Phase 1 spans approximately 22.441 kilometers and comprises 16 stations, including 12 interchange stations.
As per government planning, the initial segment of Line 13 will connect Shenzhen Bay Port Station to Gaoxin Zhong Station, covering 6.36 kilometers with seven stations and four interchange points. A new Nei Hu depot has also been constructed to support operations.
Currently, all systems and equipment are running smoothly. Service facilities such as smart ticketing machines, signage, public restrooms, nursing rooms, escalators, and elevators have been fully installed. Each station's themed artwork will debut on the opening day, ready to welcome citizens.
