Justin Trudeau faces increasing pressure from his MPs to quit
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing mounting pressure from his party members to resign as his party appears likely to lose power in the upcoming election early next year.
The ruling Liberals, who have been in office for over nine years, are struggling with voter fatigue and public frustration over high prices and a housing crisis, leading to predictions of significant losses in the next election. According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, over 50 Liberal MPs from Ontario, the party's primary stronghold and the most populous province participated in a call on Saturday (Dec. 25) where they agreed that Trudeau must step down.
