Today's flight arrivals and departures reach about 1,150, nearing pre-pandemic levels
Mable Chan, Secretary for Transport and Logistics stated that the Airport Authority anticipates this weekend will be a peak for outbound travel. It is expected that the number of travelers this Christmas will reach the daily peak seen before the pandemic, approximately 200,000 people.
Today's flight arrivals and departures reached about 1,150, nearing the pre-pandemic average of 1,200 flights per day. This reflects that the airport's capacity has fully recovered, and local airlines are actively exploring new flight destinations to support the airport's expansion of its network.
