At 1:37 p.m. today (Dec. 16), a woman was found hanging in a room of a unit at eResidence on 8 Hok Yuen Street, Hung Hom. Her husband, upon seeing this, called for help and managed to lower her down.
Rescue personnel arrived on the scene, and the 61-year-old woman, surnamed Yang, was found unconscious and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for emergency treatment, where she was later pronounced dead.
The police did not find a suicide note at the scene, and the cause of death is pending an autopsy. It is said that the woman had a history of mental illness.
