
A fire broke out at a high-rise unit in Win Tack Building, 274-278 Shau Kei Wan Road, at approximately 3:26 p.m. today (Dec. 10). Witnesses reported thick smoke pouring from the unit's windows and promptly called emergency services.
Firefighters arrived quickly, deploying one water hose and a breathing apparatus team to extinguish the blaze. The fire was put out swiftly, and no injuries have been reported so far. However, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
During the incident, both directions of Shau Kei Wan Road were closed to traffic, leading to significant disruptions in bus services. Eastbound buses were rerouted to Aldrich Bay Road, causing severe congestion in the area.
