A shipyard located at 17-20 Sham Wan Road caught fire, with the flames raging and dark smoke blanketing the sky, prompting multiple reports from the public.
At the scene, local residents indicated that there was a large amount of marine gasoline suspected to be present, with several small explosions occurring.
Police officers at the scene stated that as of 5:46 PM, there have been no reported casualties or cases of discomfort due to inhaling thick smoke.
Journalists observed thick black smoke billowing into the sky, with a strong smoke smell permeating within several hundred meters of the vicinity.
Numerous fire trucks and police cars were present nearby, with firefighters working tirelessly to extinguish the fire, while police officers were on-site maintaining order.
