Four typhoons? Observatory to issue Typhoon Signal No. 1 between 8:00 pm and 12:00 am
The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) issued a special weather alert at noon today (Nov. 11), stating that Tropical Cyclone Toraji is crossing Luzon and is expected to enter the 800-kilometer radius of Hong Kong tonight.
The Observatory will issue Standby Signal No. 1 between 8 pm and 12 midnight tonight.
According to CCTV News, Typhoon No. 23 Toraji and Typhoon No. 24 Man-yi, together with Yinxing, are now three typhoons in a row. There is also a tropical depression active in the northwest Pacific Ocean, which may develop into Typhoon No. 25 Usagi in the future, creating a situation of "four typhoons together", which is relatively rare in November.
