CIIE | John Lee briefs Premier Li Qiang on HK's latest developments
The Chief Executive, John Lee, led a delegation to Shanghai to attend the opening ceremony of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and Hongqiao International Economic Forum. Speaking on social media platforms.
Lee said that when Premier of the State Council Li Qiang visited the Hong Kong exhibition area, he briefed him on Hong Kong's achievements and latest developments since the establishment of HKSAR, in particular, its top ranking in a number of international competitiveness rankings, which demonstrated Hong Kong's systemic advantages under the principle of "One Country, Two Systems". He also talked about the policy direction of promoting Hong Kong's contribution to the country's high-quality development in the Policy Address delivered last month.
In the afternoon, Lee exchanged views with representatives of Hong Kong enterprises at the Hong Kong exhibition area, publicizing the support policies of the Policy Address such as assisting enterprises to explore the Mainland market, and encouraging them to make good use of Hong Kong's advantages, seize the opportunities and actively integrate into the overall situation of national development.
