John Lee visits HK exhibition area at China International Import Expo

The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai today (Nov. 5). The Chief Executive, John Lee, led a delegation to Shanghai to attend the opening ceremony of the Expo and Hongqiao International Economic Forum.

He visited and supported Hong Kong enterprises at their booths in the Hong Kong exhibition area in the afternoon.

Accompanied by the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Algernon Yau, and the Chairman of the Trade Development Council, Peter K N Lam, Lee was briefed by the staff of the booths of the Hong Kong enterprises on their products and chatted with them.

Lee also took group photos with Yin Zonghua, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR and other attendees.

Later, Lee will attend the "2024 Hong Kong Investment Promotion Conference - Shanghai Forum" organized by the HKSAR government. He will deliver a speech at the seminar to promote Hong Kong's advantages and its role as a gateway to Mainland and overseas enterprises as well as China's dual-cycle connectivity platform.
