The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is hosting the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) from today (Oct. 27) for four days at the Convention and Exhibition Centre, while the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Lighting Expo will take place from Tuesday (Oct. 29) to Friday (Nov. 1) at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Together, these fairs bring approximately 3,000 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions.
Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, Sophia Chong, said that according to the latest trade data, Hong Kong's total exports in the first eight months rose by 11.5% year-on-year, with exports of lighting products increasing by 3.6% to HK$3.034 billion. The theme of this autumn's twin lighting fairs, "Lighting & Life", showcases innovative products and solutions that integrate lighting with lifestyle, creating business opportunities for the industry.
Chong noted that besides exhibitors from mainland China and Hong Kong, the fairs also welcome new exhibitors from many European countries including Poland, as well as participants from Brazil, Canada, and the USA, and ASEAN countries like Singapore and Vietnam, highlighting their international appeal.
