Apple to launch Apple Intelligence next week
Apple has announced that its highly anticipated Apple Intelligence feature will officially go live next week, coinciding with the release of iOS 18.1 on Oct. 28. This was further confirmed by the renowned tech journalist Mark Gurman in his latest report.
Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.1 will introduce a range of advanced artificial intelligence features, including:
- A writing tool suite for text proofreading and rewriting to help users optimize text input and enhance writing quality
- Photo cleanup: Automatically identifies and organizes photos in the phone, optimizing storage space
- Notification summary: Intelligently organizes notifications for quickly access to important information
- Enhanced Siri capabilities: Improvement of the interaction experience with the voice assistant, providing more accurate information and recommendations
Apple also plans to integrate Siri with ChatGPT in the upcoming iOS 18.2 update. Users seeking inspiration or answers will be able to ask Siri, which will recommend using ChatGPT. If the user accepts the suggestion, ChatGPT will immediately provide the answers.
Apple emphasizes that all information shared with ChatGPT through Siri will require user consent beforehand. Users will be able to use ChatGPT for free without needing to create an account, and no requests will be recorded. Subscription users will have the option to link their accounts.
The introduction of Apple Intelligence will be available to users of the iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro series, marking the gradual realization of numerous innovative features introduced at WWDC.
