Kai Tak Sports Park hosts trial match, with MTR adding signs and standby trains
Kai Tak Sports Park is set to complete its main facilities by the end of this year and plans to commence operations in the first quarter of next year. Today (Oct. 27), the park's "Youth Sports Ground" is hosting its first local football trial match, attracting approximately 1,000 spectators.
The MTR Corporation has announced that it has planned in line with the scale of the event to ensure smooth and convenient rail service for passengers. During the trial event, special train and station arrangements will be implemented at the nearby Sung Wong Toi and Kai Tak stations. The MTR Corporation has arranged for empty trains to be on standby and has increased staffing to assist passengers.
Over 100 new signs and indicators have been installed and updated within the stations, and announcements are being made to remind passengers to use Exit D at Sung Wong Toi or Kai Tak stations for access to the park.
The MTR Corporation stated that it would continue to coordinate closely with the park authorities and relevant government departments over the coming months to refine the overall plan and transport solutions. It will progressively implement special train and station arrangements to familiarize passengers with the changes. The MTR urges the public to allow enough travel time, pay attention to station announcements and signage, and follow the instructions of station staff.
