Tropical Storm Trami results in 90 deaths, 71 injuries, and 36 missing in Philippines
Tropical Storm Trami has triggered floods and landslides in the Philippines, resulting in 90 deaths, 71 injuries, and 36 missing persons nationwide.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) of the Philippines, Trami has affected over 5.7 million people. Many towns in the affected areas are experiencing water and power outages. As of this morning, 218 roads and 40 bridges remain impassable.
It is estimated that Trami causes nearly HK$200 million in losses to local agriculture. It made landfall in the northeastern part of Luzon Island, sweeping westward across the island.
