National Day 'Golden Week' | 218,000 mainland visitors arrive in HK yesterday
According to the Immigration Department, a total of over 870,000 passenger trips were made on Wednesday (Oct. 2), of which over 460,000 were arrivals and about 400,000 were departures.
Among the arrivals, about 218,000 were mainland visitors; 189,000 Hong Kong people also traveled out of Hong Kong yesterday.
The largest number of mainland visitors entered Hong Kong via the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point (Futian Port), with about 46,000 arrivals; the West Kowloon Station of the Express Rail Link ranked second, with about 41,000 people to Hong Kong; while there were 36,000 visits to the Lo Wu Control Point and 31,000 trips to the Shenzhen Bay Port.
On the first day of the National Day holiday of Mainland (Oct. 1), more than 220,000 mainland visitors came to Hong Kong.
