A 31-year-old man from Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, secretly captured women who bathed at hot springs in Yamagata City and was discovered in May this year. He disguised himself as a hiker and embedded a camera into a fake rock to capture footage of women.
During the trial on Sept. 2, the prosecutor revealed that the man had admitted similar behaviors in the past to satisfy his interest and curiosity about women.
The prosecutor described his actions as "premeditated, habitual, and malicious" and stated that he poses a risk of committing such offenses again, seeking a two-year prison sentence for him.
The man expressed remorse during the investigation and hoped that the court will make a probation order.
The case will be found on Sept. 17.
