According to Shenzhen boundary inspection authorities today (Nov. 2), over the past weekend, influenced by multiple festive celebrations and large-scale concerts in Hong Kong, combined with the weekend passenger flow peak and the opening of the third phase of the Canton Fair, cross-boundary travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong continued to heat up.
Shenzhen boundary inspection said that on Saturday (Oct. 31), the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection processed a total of 1.145 million cross-boundary passenger trips throughout the day, including 599,000 inbound and 546,000 outbound. This not only broke the previous single-day record of 1.1377 million set on Aug. 22, but also marked the fourth time this year that the single-day inspection volume has surpassed its historical peak.
On Oct. 31, Huanggang Port recorded 161,000 cross-boundary passenger trips, setting a new single-day record since the port opened. The total number of cross-boundary passenger trips at Shenzhen-Hong Kong land boundary control points reached 1.115 million in a single day, also setting a new historical record.
