International experts have paid close attention to the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to a CCTV report on Oct. 28. They noted that the Party's continued commitment to exercising full and rigorous governance provides a solid foundation for steering high-quality development and advancing Chinese modernization.
Kouliang Sisaenbor, Director of the Institute of Party Building and Party History Research at the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (NAPPA), said, "I appreciate President Xi Jinping's vision. Full and rigorous Party governance makes the CPC stronger and more capable. A clean and upright Party membership provides solid backing for economic and social development, ensuring that China's various undertakings advance steadily. The CPC's experience in managing and governing the Party offers valuable and useful lessons for Laos."
Li Cunxiao, Chairman of the Malaysia-China Trade Promotion Centre (MCMTC), said the plenum focuses on Party building. A disciplined CPC with firm ideological foundations is leading the people confidently along the path of Chinese modernization, and will also drive global development and progress.
Dragana Mitrović, Professor of Political Economy at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, said the CPC has led the Chinese people in continuously exploring a development path for the future, achieving unprecedented economic growth and all-round social progress. Facing a complex international environment, the CPC's leadership ensures China advances along the correct path toward high-quality development and continues to play its role as a responsible major country.
Martínez, an international relations expert at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), said CPC leadership is the greatest strength of the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Most notably, the CPC attaches great importance to Party building and the cultivation of Party members, which provides important support for national stability and development.
Chernyak, First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta, said: "Full and rigorous Party governance is a key focus of the plenum. The results the CPC has achieved in self-purification and other areas are impressive. I am very interested to see what new content will be put forward on Party management."
Dr. Kawa Mahmoud, Chairman of the Global Civilization Initiative Research Center-Iraq, said the CPC leads all aspects of the country's political, economic, social, cultural and diplomatic life. Full and rigorous Party governance is therefore essential and that is precisely the significance of this plenum.
