The new Huanggang Port officially opened today (Oct. 12), becoming the first port in the Hong Kong SAR to implement the "cooperative inspection" clearance model. Many tour groups took advantage of the opening day to launch inaugural tours via the new port, attracting large numbers of residents to sign up. Members of one of the first tour groups waved national flags and held up foam boards printed with the words "first taste," excitedly taking photos.
Based on what reporters observed on site, travel agencies including China Travel Service, Big Line Holiday, Wing On Travel and WWPKG all organised multiple tours specially routed through the new port, leading residents and tourists to be the first to experience the latest clearance model between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
