The Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open (PHKTO) 2026 has added three more major names to its star-studded field, with Jasmine Paolini, Sorana Cirstea and Maria Sakkari confirmed to compete at the WTA 250 tournament.

The event will be held at the Victoria Park Centre Courts from Oct. 31 to Nov. 8, with a total prize purse of more than US$280,000.

Italian star Paolini, a former world No. 4 and two-time Grand Slam finalist, will make her PHKTO debut. The 30-year-old reached the finals of the 2024 Australian Open and Wimbledon and won WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and Rome that year, as well as women's doubles gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games alongside Sara Errani.

Cirstea, meanwhile, returns to HK after reaching the quarter-finals on her PHKTO debut last year. The Romanian has enjoyed a remarkable 2026 season, winning the Transylvania Open and reaching the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 Italian Open. She also reached the quarter-finals of the French Open and climbed to a career-high No. 15 in the world.

Former world No. 3 Sakkari will compete in HK for the second time, a decade after her previous appearance. The Greek, who has reached the semi-finals of both the French Open and US Open, has two WTA singles titles to her name, including the WTA 1000 Guadalajara Open.

The three additions join a field that already includes world No. 18 Alexandra Eala, Chinese star Wang Xinyu, 2024 PHKTO champion Diana Shnaider and former world No. 2 Paula Badosa.

PHKTO is part of the China Tennis Season and has won the WTA 250 Tournament of the Year award three times, in 2018, 2024 and 2025.

Tickets are available via Ticketflap, priced from HK$180 to HK$1,070, with a 50% discount on Category 2 tickets for people aged 18 or below, full-time students and seniors aged 60 or above.
