The women's singles round of 32 at the 2026 WTT China Smash was held today (Oct. 5). Hong Kong's Doo Hoi Kem faced a strong opponent in China's Kuai Man, ultimately losing 0-3 and exiting in the first round. The three games ended 11-6, 11-9, 11-6.
Kuai Man is currently China's third-ranked women's singles player, behind only Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu, and is currently ranked fourth in the world. At the recently concluded Nagoya Asian Games, Kuai Man and her teammates won gold in the women's team, women's doubles, and mixed doubles events.
Looking back at yesterday's (Oct. 4) men's singles round of 32, Hong Kong's Wong Chun Ting faced Chinese Taipei's Lin Yun-ju, ranked sixth in the world, and ultimately lost 2-3, also exiting in the first round and missing out on a place in the last 32.
