On Oct. 7, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) unveiled the Week 41 world rankings for 2025. In men's singles, Wang Chuqin surged to 10,900 points, climbing from 9,425 points, following his championship win at the WTT China Smash. Meanwhile, in women's singles, reigning "10,000-Point Queen" Sun Yingsha continues to dominate the rankings, holding the No. 1 spot for an impressive 169 consecutive weeks.
China also shines in doubles rankings. Kuai Man and Lin Shidong are ranked No. 1 in mixed doubles, while Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha's mixed doubles pairing rises to No. 3. In men's doubles, Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong currently hold the No. 4 spot.
The WTT China Smash 2025 concluded with Team China sweeping all five titles, underscoring their dominance on the global stage. Looking ahead, Team China will participate in the 2025 Asian Table Tennis Team Championships, set to take place in Bhubaneswar, India, from Oct. 11 to Oct. 15.
The Chinese squad for the team competition includes Wang Chuqin, Lin Shidong, Liang Jingkun, Xiang Peng, and Zhou Qihao for the men's team, while Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Xingtong, Kuai Man, and Wang Yidi will represent the women's team.
