Hong Kong table tennis pair Doo Hoi- kem and Ng Wing-lam faced off against Japan's powerhouse duo Miwa Harimoto and Hina Hayata today (Sept. 28) in the women's doubles semifinals, battling for a coveted spot in the final.
Following a hard-fought four-game match, Doo and Ng fell 0–4 to Harimoto and Hayata, with game scores of 6–11, 5–11, 4–11, and 6–11.
With no third-place playoff in the tournament format, Doo and Ng secured the bronze medal, marking the HK table tennis team's only medal at this edition of the Asian Games.
