The Yuen Long Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a woman who was allegedly attacked by dogs. Police stated today (Sep. 22) that, following a joint review with the Security Bureau, four sets of temporary CCTV cameras have been installed in the vicinity of the incident site to track the movements of stray dogs and enhance the efficiency of capture operations.
It is understood that the four sets of temporary CCTV cameras have been installed at locations such as Pok Wai South Road and the perimeter of the Nam Sang Wai sewage pumping station, with the lenses directed towards the bicycle path.
Police stated that, to ensure public safety, they are conducting operations in the area alongside the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) to capture stray dogs or animals that pose a potential risk of attack. Police will also continue to step up patrols in the area; should any stray dogs or other animals posing a potential danger to the public be spotted, the AFCD will be notified immediately to arrange for capture operations in the interest of public safety.
