A social media video has sparked concern after an online post alleged that a free-roaming pet cat was attacked and killed by four large dogs in Tin Ping Shan Tsuen, Sheung Shui, last month.

According to the post, the incident took place on July 30, when a person from outside the village walked through the area with four dogs. The writer claimed the dogs were not leashed while being walked. After entering the village, the dogs allegedly rushed at a light-colored cat that had been kept outdoors and began attacking it.

The video shows the cat lingering outside a village house with a metal gate closed. Four brown dogs—none visibly wearing muzzles or leashes—then run toward the cat. The clip appears to show two dogs biting first, pinning the cat to the ground as it struggles and cries out. Because of the size difference, the cat was unable to escape.

The poster alleged that the dog owner did not take action to stop the attack. The cat later reportedly died, with the writer suggesting it may have succumbed to internal injuries.

The post described the incident as distressing and warned that similar situations could happen again, raising concerns that uncontrolled dogs in the village could pose risks—especially if young children are nearby.
