9-vehicle pile-up on Tolo Highway in Tai Po: Traffic congested, some Kowloon-bound lanes briefly closed

At around 7:10 am today (Sept. 21), nine vehicles collided on the fast lane of Tolo Highway heading towards Kowloon, near Providence Bay. The fast lane was blocked. Police and rescue personnel are on their way to the scene, and the cause of the accident is under further investigation.

The Transport Department announced at 7:31 am that the section of Tolo Highway (Kowloon-bound) near Providence Bay, which had been closed earlier due to the traffic accident, has now been reopened. The traffic queue is expected to clear gradually.
