From 2020 to 2022, around 170,000 more people left Hong Kong than arrived. But since mid-2022, the tide has turned — net inflow has reached 246,000, with nearly 40,000 in the past year alone. What drove people to leave a place they once called "home"? And what brought them back? We hit the streets to ask Hongkongers — from those who never left, to those who left and returned — what they really think.

And their answers were clear. "Hong Kong remains one of the most amazing cities on earth," one told us. "There is nowhere better than Hong Kong." Over and over, we heard the same message: Hong Kong is fantastic. It's a city that has it all — energy, convenience, diversity, and a unique spirit that's hard to find anywhere else. Others had tried living elsewhere — Singapore, Dubai, London — but they came back, taxes were too high, regulations too heavy. But for most, it was simpler than that. Hong Kong just feels like home. "I wouldn't live anywhere else if I had any choice." "Hong Kong is just fantastic."

In a world full of choices, Hong Kong still stands out. It's more than just skyscrapers and neon lights — it's a place with heart, soul, and a rhythm you can't find anywhere else. Watch to hear their stories.
