The all-new "CHIIKAWA ARTIVERSE" special exhibition officially landed at Tsim Sha Tsui's K11 MUSEA and the waterfront today with an opening ceremony, and will open to the public tomorrow, Aug. 1, running through Sep. 6. Early-bird ticket and package pre-sales have already concluded, and from Aug. 10 onwards a limited number of regular‑price tickets will be made available depending on actual conditions.
For the first time ever in Hong Kong, eight Chiikawa characters and their friends make a surprise joint public appearance, with four themed art universes fully unveiled to explore the expansive artistic world of Chiikawa. The exhibition features over 130 reproductions of illustrator Nagano's precious original artworks, many of which are debuting in Hong Kong, alongside the simultaneous launch of limited‑edition commemorative souvenirs.
The Chiikawa art trail has also spread across the city, with themed Light Rail trains and themed stations making a dreamy debut in the New Territories, while themed vehicles traverse Hong Kong Island as part of the citywide "CHIIKAWA ARTIVERSE" craze. McDonald's has joined the excitement with a surprise themed store and exclusive iridescent lucky charms, and a collectible limited‑edition Octopus card has been unlocked for fans. The exhibition spans two paid zones: an indoor space and souvenir shop at K11 Art & Cultural Centre Kunsthalle on the 6th floor of K11 MUSEA, and an outdoor zone at the ground‑level Promenade, all inspired by Chiikawa's infinitely expanding worldview to create an immersive, artistically profound experience for visitors. Creative brand AllRightsReserved (ARR), in collaboration with official licensor Spiralcute International, has brought this large‑scale exhibition back to Hong Kong this summer, with Chiikawa and friends also appearing at partner locations including Manulife Tower, sparking a territory‑wide phenomenon.
