A rescue worker in Thailand recently shared a memorable rescue experience: a 16-year-old female student was rushed to hospital after a sudden severe abdominal pain. When the rescue team arrived, they found her completely covered in black makeup, resembling a ghost from local folklore. It turned out she was in costume for a school event. The post quickly drew widespread attention online.
According to foreign media reports, the incident took place at a school in Kut Chum district, Yasothon province, Thailand. Local rescue workers received a call for emergency assistance for a 16-year-old student. When they arrived, the girl was conscious but suffering from abdominal pain. They administered first aid before transporting her to hospital via ambulance.
What shocked the rescue team, however, was that the student was wearing heavy black face makeup, making her look like a ghost — and a very realistic one at that. It was later learned that she had been dressed for the school's Thai Language Day event, but suddenly developed stomach pain during the activity and had to call for help.
When the ambulance arrived at the hospital, the ghostly appearance of the patient also drew the attention of medical staff and other hospital visitors. Afterwards, the girl commented under the rescue worker's post, joking: "I never expected to get a stomach ache at the wrong time and in the wrong place." Her humorous response made many netizens chuckle.
The rescue worker later posted a video updating the girl's condition, saying: "She's safe and has taken her medication home." In the video, the student could be seen holding a bag of medicine and smiling inside the hospital.
