After seven years, Manchester City returns to Hong Kong. The squad has checked into a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui and will face Serie A champions Inter Milan in a pre-season friendly at Kai Tak Stadium this Saturday (Aug. 1).
Donnarumma and Foden are in the squad, while big names including Haaland and Rodri will not travel to Hong Kong.
Manchester City stated some World Cup players will join the tour at a later date.
Key players have endured a packed schedule of league and World Cup fixtures. FIFA rules entitle them to mandatory rest. Even with efforts from the organiser, these stars cannot be guaranteed to play. It would not be ideal to bring them over just for appearances without match time.
