According to foreign media reports, a car rammed into a crowd in Berlin's central Tiergarten Park at around 10 pm on July 25, killing at least one person and injuring 14 others, several of them seriously.
Local police said that a man got out of the vehicle and fled on foot after the incident, and the car was empty by the time officers arrived at the scene. Authorities have identified a suspect but have not yet made an arrest or released the person's name. The exact cause of the incident remains unclear.
Eyewitnesses at the scene described a white van speeding into the crowd in Tiergarten Park, sending people screaming and running into the park for cover. A police spokesperson at the scene said the vehicle drove into the area, struck multiple people, and finally came to a stop after hitting a tree.
All the injured are receiving medical treatment. The area has been cordoned off by police, and the case is under further investigation.
