The Kerry Fencing World Championships 2026 Hong Kong, China officially opened today (July 22) at the AsiaWorld-Expo, with the men's foil individual pool rounds taking centre stage on the first day of competition.
Hong Kong representative HO Shing Him Harris delivered an impressive performance, winning all his pool bouts to secure a spot in the round of 64.
Teammate LEUNG Chin Yu also advanced to the knockout stage with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses in the preliminary rounds.
Top-seeded fencers, including Hong Kong's Olympic champion CHEUNG Ka Long, received byes and will enter directly into the round of 64, as per competition regulations.
