The Heung Yee Kuk New Territories held a grand Spring Festival gathering this morning (Feb. 23), coinciding with the 100th anniversary of its establishment. The event was not only filled with the festive atmosphere of the New Year but also officially kicked off the centennial celebrations. Chief Executive John Lee attended, along with Deputy Director of the LOCPG in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Luo Yonggang, Chairman of the Heung Yee Kuk New Territories Kenneth Lau, as well as local gentry, community representatives, and various guests gathering together to celebrate the New Year.
