On July 3 local time, Iran held a farewell ceremony for its late Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The event was attended by a wide range of Iranian officials, religious leaders, and high-level delegations from various countries, creating a solemn and dignified atmosphere.
According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, around 100 countries sent official delegations, parliamentary delegations, or prominent figures, including at least 8 heads of state, 12 parliamentary speakers, and numerous foreign ministers, ministerial officials, and envoys. Official representatives, lawmakers, and civil society figures from several Eastern European countries also took part.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian posted a message on social media mourning Khamenei, saying that his death has brought deep sorrow to the entire Iranian people.
It is worth noting that Iran did not invite European countries that openly support Israel and US military actions against Iran to attend the ceremony.
