The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a series of extensive strikes on multiple high-profile targets in Iran yesterday (June 14), including the Iranian Defense Ministry headquarters in Tehran and facilities linked to the country's nuclear program, according to reports from Iranian and Israeli sources.

In a statement issued shortly before the attacks, the IDF issued a stark warning, urging all personnel near Iran's nuclear reactors and weapons factories to evacuate immediately, citing extreme danger to life. "For your safety, leave these facilities now and do not return until further notice," the military said.

The strikes reportedly damaged an office building at Iran's Defense Ministry headquarters, though Iranian state media did not immediately confirm casualties. The Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, also reported that another attack targeted the Defense Research and Innovation Organization in Tehran.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant appeared to confirm the operation in a social media post, writing simply: "Tehran is burning."

The IDF later claimed responsibility for the strikes, stating they had successfully hit multiple sites tied to Iran's nuclear and military infrastructure. "The IDF has completed a wide-ranging operation against targets in Tehran and other locations connected to Iran's nuclear program," the military said in a post on X.

Meanwhile, conflicting reports emerged about an earlier strike near Tehran. While The Jerusalem Post reported that an Israeli attack on a refinery late Sunday caused a major fire, Iran's state-run IRNA news agency insisted the facility remained operational with no disruptions.

The escalation comes amid heightened tensions between the two nations, with Israel repeatedly vowing to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Analysts warn that the latest strikes could trigger further retaliation, raising fears of a broader regional conflict.
