Shenzhen Metro Line 13 Phase 2 northern extension opened on June 28, connecting with Phase 1 for through operation. The new section is approximately 19.25 kilometers long with 11 underground stations. This brings Shenzhen's urban rail transit network to 653.7 kilometers and 452 stations.
The new line links Nanshan, Bao'an, and Guangming districts, reducing travel time from Guangming center to Nanshan center to just 45 minutes, and offers convenient transfers to multiple other lines. Service runs from 6:30 to 23:00 daily, with headways of no more than 5 minutes during morning and evening peak hours. The line incorporates smart systems and is jointly operated by Shenzhen Metro and MTR Corporation, injecting new momentum into Shenzhen–Hong Kong integration and the development of the Greater Bay Area.
