On June 24, Doubao officially launched its Professional Edition, according to an official announcement from the company.
The new edition is powered by the latest Doubao 2.1 series large models and features an office task mode that integrates the Doubao 2.1 Pro model. It can execute Agent tasks, including operating local computers, using browsers, invoking Skills, and scheduling timed tasks. The Professional Edition comes with a built-in Office suite and supports professional image and video design, as well as the creation and sharing of applications and websites.
The Professional Edition adopts a three-tier pricing structure:
1. Standard Plan: RMB 68 per month for auto‑renewal subscriptions. It includes all the benefits of the free version, with access to the 2.1 Pro model, and offers more than five times the quota of the free version for features such as office tasks and expert mode.
2. Enhanced Plan: RMB 200 per month for auto‑renewal subscriptions, offering four times the quota of the Standard Plan.
3. Premium Plan: RMB 500 per month for auto‑renewal subscriptions, offering ten times the quota of the Standard Plan.
Doubao noted that for most users' daily life scenarios, the existing features and quotas of the free version are sufficient. The company also said it will continue to provide free‑version users with new models, new capabilities, and an improved user experience.
In addition, Doubao has introduced educational discounts. For current university students, a six‑month student promotion will be launched soon. After identity verification, student users will be eligible for additional free service quotas. Verified student users who purchase the Doubao Professional Edition Standard Plan will also enjoy an exclusive discounted price of RMB 38 per month for auto‑renewal subscriptions (regular price: RMB 68 per month).
Doubao also said it will offer special pricing plans for visually impaired users who have a need for video calling features.
