At the opening ceremony of the "Dragonbeat" (June 19) in Stanley Bay, Hong Kong, we conducted random street interviews with participants from around the globe.
Among them were international team members training three to four times a week, a former British forces veteran who once served in Hong Kong, newly arrived residents who moved here just last year, and an American volunteer quietly sorting plastic bottles for recycling on the sidelines.
Almost all of them agreed that dragon boat racing has grown far beyond a traditional competition—it has become a city-wide festival that connects communities, embraces nature, and promotes environmental awareness.
Watch our video to hear their most genuine stories.
