At 5:15 AM Beijing time on June 11, the US military launched its second consecutive day of military strikes against Iran, with explosions heard in the southern Iranian regions.
Since the temporary ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran was reached on April 8, neither side has strictly adhered to it, and sporadic clashes have occurred from time to time.
The two sides are now engaged in a new round of tests of will. Whether the resurgence of hostilities in the Middle East marks the last darkness before dawn or the beginning of a new round of conflict is something the world is watching closely.
