In the early hours of today (June 9), Apple officially unveiled the fully upgraded "Siri AI" at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC26). The next-generation intelligent assistant not only achieves a major leap in conversational fluency but also debuts as a standalone application for the first time.
The new Siri AI moves beyond its previous role as a voice-only tool, transforming into an independent app with memory and file management capabilities. Users can engage in multi-turn, natural interactions via text or voice, as well as view conversation history, pin frequently used chats, and search across conversations. In terms of vocal performance, the new Siri sounds more realistic and expressive, and for the first time, users can customize speech speed, tone, and accent, greatly enhancing the personalized experience.
On the interaction front, Siri AI undergoes an unprecedented visual overhaul, deeply integrating with the iPhone's Dynamic Island. When Siri is active, a dedicated bubble animation and glowing icon appear on the Dynamic Island at the top of the screen, along with a "Searching" status indicator. After processing the data, the interface expands downward into a translucent panel using Apple's "Liquid Glass" design language, making the entire interaction process more intuitive.
