US President Donald Trump said on June 5 that he and entrepreneur Elon Musk have become "friends again" following a highly publicized falling-out, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Speaking at a campaign event in the state of Wisconsin, Trump referred to his previous dispute with Musk and said the two had reconciled.
Musk spent heavily in support of Trump's successful 2024 presidential campaign and subsequently served as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the Trump administration.
However, after leaving the DOGE, Musk's relationship with Trump deteriorated publicly, with the two men exchanging sharp criticism.
On Sept. 21, 2025, Trump and Musk were reunited at an event in Arizona commemorating conservative social media personality Charlie Kirk, who had been fatally shot. Multiple media outlets captured the pair sitting side by side and shaking hands while conversing.
