According to CCTV News, the latest investigation into the death of a tourist on a "big swing" ride in Huaying, Sichuan, has been released. The direct cause of the accident was the premature release of the swing's locking mechanism. The company involved has been ordered to suspend operations for rectification, and those responsible for the accident have been taken into criminal compulsory measures in accordance with the law.
The "May 3" accident investigation team in Huaying City, Guang'an, Sichuan Province, issued a statement on May 5 detailing the incident. On the afternoon of May 3, a female tourist, surnamed Liu, was injured while experiencing the "waterfall swing" ride at the Maliuyan Adventure Park in Huaying City, and died on her way to the hospital.
