Hong Kong's women's table tennis team was eliminated from the 2026 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships in London after losing 1-3 to Germany in the quarterfinals in the early hours of May 8.
Match results were as follows:
- Doo Hoi-kem lost 2-3 to Sabine Winter: 12-10, 11-8, 8-11, 9-11, 4-11
- Ng Wing-lam lost 2-3 to Han Ying: 9-11, 11-7, 17-15, 11-13, 13-15
- Su Tsz-tung defeated Annett Kaufmann 3-1: 12-10, 8-11, 11-8, 11-4
- Ng Wing-lam lost 0-3 to Sabine Winter: 1-11, 5-11, 6-11
According to Migu Sports, the HK team's entrance ceremony featured a warm and emotional atmosphere, with the song "Bauhinia in Full Bloom" played as background music. The players also posed in a flower-blooming formation during the introduction ceremony.
