According to CCTV News, a US federal district court judge on May 6 made public a handwritten note, allegedly the suicide note of the notorious late American financier Jeffrey Edward Epstein. One line in the note reads, "They investigated me for a month—and found nothing!!!"
US authorities have noted that the note bears no signature or date.
The judge stated that a former cellmate of Epstein discovered the note and submitted it to the court.
Epstein was convicted in 2008 for soliciting minors for prostitution. He was arrested again in July 2019 on suspicion of sex crimes and died in prison in August of the same year. His death was ruled a suicide, but the cause has been questioned. Due to his ties to numerous prominent figures in politics, business, and entertainment, the Epstein case has generated widespread negative public opinion.
